and it's YOUR call to make

for YOUR voice on Bastrop City Council

Your vote really DOES count

City of Bastrop elections in the past have drawn little voter interest.  With such small numbers going to the polls, just a handful of votes can make the difference…and can change the direction of our City government.

For the first time in Bastrop history we have a run-off election for Bastrop City Council. Make YOUR vote the deciding factor in filling Place 3 on the City Council.

WHO CAN VOTE? Any resident of the City of Bastrop who is registered to vote may vote in this Place 3 runoff election even if he or she did not vote in the May 6 election that led up to this run-off.

WHEN CAN I VOTE?  This Saturday—June 17—from 7 a.m. to 7 p.m. is “Election Day”.  (It is also the deadline for the Bastrop County Elections Office to have received mailed-in ballots.)

WHERE DO I VOTE?  On the lower level of the Bastrop County Courthouse Annex (the buff colored brick building at 804 Pecan, immediately adjacent and east of the old courthouse in downtown Bastrop).  Curbside voting is available for those needing such assistance.

Information on voter I.D. requirements or handicap assistance can be found at or by calling the Bastrop County Elections Office at 512-581-4260.
